Buying presents can be super stressful, and if you’re like me you want your gift to be impressive, memorable, and something the recipient will really enjoy!
Now there are of course the old reliables, bath sets, candles, flowers or perfume. Except we’ve all got more than enough of these and they feel a bit impersonal (unless it’s a favourite perfume or flowers of course.)
Here’s where a little background knowledge comes in handy, think about the person’s lifestyle. Maybe a sporty person could do with a funky water bottle or someone who has an early work commute might appreciate a cheerful on-the-go coffee mug!
Sometimes a practical gift that looks pretty is a perfect choice.
We gave my partners sister and her hubby a beautiful picnic basket for their wedding and I’m glad to say they have got great use out of it! It’s perfect for both romantic picnics and family fishing trips! Thinking outside the box can really pay off and it feels great when someone genuinely loves the gift you have given them.
But what happens when you can’t find ‘The’ perfect gift? …DIY it! Head out and find one thing that inspires you and source other pieces to make a cute hamper!
For a recent birthday, I spotted a gorgeous bird photo frame at my local HEATONS but felt it was too small to give alone so I found bits to match and made my own hamper! I simply carried the bird theme through to a notebook and added a face mask and hand cream in the same colour scheme. It’s all about the aesthetics! Then I simply wrapped it up in clear plastic and added a flower for a decorative touch. Et voila! A gorgeous present sure to put a smile on the face of someone special!
We will be posting more DIY Gift Options for different themes and occasions, so please like, share and subscribe and comment below on what you might like to see up on our blog or maybe you have a great gift idea you’d like us to feature!
And of course Stay Yummy!
